By accessing or using Basalt Protocol ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Basalt Protocol provides digital notarization services including:

• C2PA cryptographic signing of digital assets
• Decentralized storage on IPFS
• Blockchain anchoring on Solana
• Verification of notarized content

3. User Responsibilities

You agree to:

• Only upload content you own or have rights to notarize
• Not upload illegal, harmful, or infringing content
• Not attempt to misuse, hack, or exploit the Service
• Understand that uploaded content becomes permanent and public

4. Permanence of Records

IMPORTANT: Content submitted to Basalt Protocol is stored on IPFS and anchored to the Solana blockchain. These records are permanent and cannot be deleted. By using this Service, you acknowledge and accept this limitation.

5. Intellectual Property

You retain all rights to content you upload. By using the Service, you grant Basalt Protocol a license to process, store, and display your content as necessary to provide the notarization service.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "AS IS" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure. Notarization does not constitute legal advice or official certification.

7. Limitation of Liability

Basalt Protocol shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service.

8. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
