What counts as a notarization?
One notarization = one file uploaded and processed. This includes C2PA signing, IPFS upload, and blockchain anchoring. Verifying existing files is always free and unlimited.
What happens if I exceed my monthly limit?
Free users will need to wait until next month. Pro and Enterprise users can continue at $0.05 per additional notarization, billed at the end of your billing cycle.
How long are my files stored?
Forever. Files are stored on IPFS (decentralized) and the cryptographic hash is anchored to Solana blockchain. Even if Basalt shuts down, your proofs remain independently verifiable.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Cancel anytime from your dashboard—no questions asked. Your existing notarizations remain valid forever. You'll be downgraded to Free tier at the end of your billing period.
